PHANTASMAGORIC ART .
PERSONAE Series.

Inspired by archetypal images of the human drawn from prehistoric and ancient cultures, I have developed a style I have named : "PHANTASMAGORIC ART".
This uses archetypal imagery to reflect modern consciousness.
PERSONAE aims to represent the phantasms , dreams and phobias of adult life that have their unconscious roots in childhood. These images confront the viewer with the internal worlds of the personae projected through colour and form onto external reality.

This is some new things I am  been working on at the moment. It is all about self liberation and expression through out my own imagination, visions and environment.
They are the first two paintings I have done from a new series which I will call : PERSONAE

My latest series of work:GROUP OF PEOPLE

Inspired from Renaissance artists such as for composition Paolo Veronese and Sebastiano del Piombo by creating scenes representing group of people gathering in different places and as for colors Giovanni Battista Cima da Conegliano and Bellini by using Orange, Red, Blue, Green, Naple Yellow and Pink as principal pigments.
I am composing art work with a 21st Century twist supported by an effect of stain glass windows.

FRANCESCO RUSPOLI THE PAINTER: The last international art fair in London, Batters...: "During the last art fair in London Battersea Park : AAF my London representative gallery : Gagliardi Gallery has sold 34 of my paintings in ..."

The last international art fair in London, Battersea Park, in March 2011

During the last art fair in London Battersea Park : AAF my London representative gallery : Gagliardi Gallery has sold 34 of my paintings in just 4 days.

It is an art fair lasting 5 days where under one roof you would have 120 galleries and around 800 artists. Therefore the competition is very hard as so many art works are presented to the potential buyers and collectors.

My representative London gallery has pre-sold 30 art works of mine and during the fair another 4 on top as unfortunately my stock went sold out even before the end of the fair.

I was so exited by this and considering that last year as the same art fair : AAF the gallery had  sold 38 paintings of mine and thinking about the world economies this is not bad at all!

Let us see what next year will bring.

My latest painting called : The golden age finished today 6th January 2011

This my latest painting from the series" Group of people" (oil on canvas) a Quatych (four parts).
I have called it: The Golden Age. Seems quite up to date with what we are told about our near future for the world as food shortage, prices and taxes rising, etc...
My painting WAS the golden ages for the last years.
